Butler Bay beach is a hidden gem and known to be one of the best beaches on Little Andaman Island. It is the best beach for surfing and 14Km away from Hut Bay jetty. Surfers from everywhere the world come to ride the dynamite waves at this entrancing stretch of yellow sand and clear waters. The Surf breakpoint is toward the finish of the beach on the left side. The waves are at the ideal heights, the water is clear and cool, and there is experienced staff available to assist you with everything. A waterfall known as White Surf is very near to the beach and is worth visiting. One can indulge in other activities like do different exercises like elephant rides, jungle trekking, boating, etc.
Because of the tremendous waves, swimming is advised just for great swimmers as the flows are very solid and you can be immediately flushed away from the shore, particularly at the time of high tide. Snorkeling can also be enjoyed but is recommended at the time of low tide. Unfortunately, the beach is not good for sunbathing, as there are heaps of sand flies.
