Day By Day Itinerary

DAY 1 - CHRISTCHURCH 

On arrival at Christchurch Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. (Self-drive passengers collect your rental car for your exclusive use). Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 2 - CHRISTCHURCH  - KAIKOURA

Travel north to Kaikoura. The day is free for an optional Whale Watching tour by boat. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 3 - KAIKOURA - NELSON

Transfer to Nelson. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 4 - NELSON

Day is fee  to pursue your own activities. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 5  - NELSON - GREYMOUTH - FRANZ JOSEF

Transfer to Franz Josef. Continue southwards by coach along the coast to reach Westland National Park and the glacier region. View the amazing Pancake Rock formations at Punakaiki and then on to Greymouth, nestled on the banks of the Grey River. Self Drivers will directly drive to Franz Josef.  Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 6 - FRANZ JOSEF

Day is fee  to pursue your own activities. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 7 - FRANZ JOSEF - QUEENSTOWN

Depart this morning through the South Westland Heritage Park and across the rugged Haast Pass and Lake Wanaka. This afternoon’s travel is through the Kawarau Gorge to reach Queenstown. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 8 - QUEENSTOWN

Day is free to  pursue your own activities. Queenstown offers jet boating, lake cruises, bungy  jumping, rafting, horse riding, gondola rides. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 9 - QUEENSTOWN

Day is free to pursue your own activities. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 10 -  QUEENSTOWN - MOUNT COOK - CHRISTCHURCH 

Travel over the Lindis Pass to reach Mt Cook around lunch time. A rare opportunity to take an optional scenic flight to view Mt Cook’s snow fields and glaciers. We continue through to Christchurch. Day is fee  to pursue your own activities. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 11- DEPARTURE

Transfer to Christchurch airport for your onward flight (Self-drive passengers return your car directly at the airport).
