Hanoi, Vietnam's capital, is known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and charming architecture. Key attractions include Hoan Kiem Lake, the historic Old Quarter with its bustling streets, and cultural sites like the Ho Chi Minh Complex and the Temple of Literature. The city's blend of ancient traditions and French colonial influences creates a unique atmosphere. Ha Long Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage site celebrated for its breathtaking landscape of limestone karsts and emerald waters. With around 2,000 islands and islets, it offers opportunities for cruising, swimming, and exploring caves. The bay is a stunning natural wonder, perfect for relaxation and adventure amidst dramatic scenery.
DAY 1- HANOI ARRIVAL
Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport, where our guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel, a journey of approximately 40 minutes. In the late afternoon, visit Hoan Kiem Lake and the Ngoc Son Temple, situated on an island within the lake. Hoan Kiem Lake serves as the heart of Hanoi and is home to a rare endangered giant turtle species. The lake’s name, meaning "Returned Sword," originates from a legend about a sacred sword lent to an ancient Vietnamese King by a holy turtle, which was later returned to the turtle. You’ll also have time to explore the Old Quarter, known for its 36 ancient streets, where you can shop or stroll at your leisure.
DAY 2- HANOI-HA LONG
After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel at 8:00 AM for a 3.5-hour drive to Ha Long Bay, about 160 km away. Enjoy scenic views of the rural Red River Delta and make a stop at a handicraft workshop along the way. Arriving in Ha Long City at 11:30 AM, you'll check in aboard your junk and receive a welcome drink. As you cruise, lunch will be served while you take in the stunning views of the bay. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Ha Long Bay features around 2,000 islands and islets.The cruise includes close-up views of Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, and Sail Island, along with visits to Sung Sot Cave and a swimming stop at Titov Beach. After dinner and sunset, you can enjoy fishing at 9:00 PM before spending the night on board.
DAY 3- HA LONG- HANOI
Early risers can savor the beautiful and serene views of the bay at dawn. Enjoy the fresh sea air, the morning breeze, and the songs of birds overhead. After breakfast, set sail to visit Human Head Island and Tortoise Island. Continue cruising into Bai Tu Long Bay, known as "The Little Dragon Bowing to His Mother." After checking out, enjoy lunch on board while heading back to shore. Disembark and transfer back to Hanoi, where you'll check in at your hotel. The evening is yours to unwind and explore as you wish.
DAY 4- HANOI DEPARTURE
After breakfast, embark on a full-day city tour, starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes the mausoleum of the nation's founder, his rural-style stilt house, and the Presidential Palace. Also within this complex is the distinctive One Pillar Pagoda, constructed in the 11th century in honor of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, and resembling a lotus flower emerging from a pond. The tour will then proceed to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, established in 1070 by the Ly Dynasty to honor Confucius, revered sages, and notable Vietnamese scholars. Finally, you'll transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
